We got married in France in October, and wanted to give our guests the best party! We had a stunning chateau and the grounds were beautiful, so all that remained was to make sure our guests enjoyed themselves and had a really fun evening. We came across James and thought it was perfect to have someone English speaking, who also spoke French, knew the area and had also played at our venue before. He was friendly, flexible, helpful and we booked! I spent a lot of time putting together ideal playlists and favourite songs, but there really wasn’t any need to go to as much trouble as I did. James really did get exactly what we were after. The music was hands down better than any disco we had been to before. I only wish he lived in the UK so we could book him more often. I run a wedding venue in England and I would book him every week here if I could 😉 I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He made our night, and was a lot of fun, even joining us for a dance or two. Thanks so much for a fantastic wedding party James!! 5 stars 😀

We hired James for our wedding in September 2018. He drove almost 4 hours to join us – and we’re so glad he did. He was absolutely fantastic from start to finish and a very friendly, genuine guy. During the reception speeches, he was kind enough to lend us his mic and speaker at no extra cost and was very flexible in providing the right background music for our meal. He then played a 7-hour set during our evening party, even agreeing to an extra hour at the last minute – as the crowd just weren’t ready to finish! He adapted to his audience brilliantly and kept the dance floor full all night long – literally. I would’t hesitate in hiring him again or recommending him to others.

Being a multinational couple, it was important for us to have a DJ offering to provide a sufficient mix of music that would cater to all of our guests’ tastes. James was very attentive and fantastic at keeping in touch in the run up to the wedding. On the day, he did not disappoint – not only was he able to deal with the multilingual requests (English and French), he kept the dance floor filled until the end of the night!

On peut tout organiser, choisir les parfaits lieu, traiteur, déco etc… le plus important pour nous était l’ambiance de notre mariage et sa réussite, on le savait, était entre les mains du DJ que nous allions choisir. We booked James for our lovely french Chateau wedding in July this year and we can say without a doubt it was a great decision. James was really easy going and very professional so we knew the music was in safe hands through the day. We gave James a good idea of the kind of wedding vibe we were going for and provided some songs for inspiration, but James was brilliant at getting everybody dancing and keeping the party going into the early hours… in fact we ended up going over what we had originally asked for, but James was happy to accommodate us with every request, even the late finish. I initially contacted James to see if he could provide a sound system for my wedding in France. He responded really quickly and confirmed that he could hire out his equipment and he would stay through-out as a sound engineer. His communication through-out was brilliant and he always responded promptly. His prices were totally reasonable for all the equipment he brought. On the day he ended up not only being a sound engineer but he also played music. He was a massive help through-out, totally accommodating and a very nice bloke to boot. All in all, very happy. Dj James saved my wedding!! Since I’m from Brazil and my wedding was in France I had no other option but to choose the supliers my wedding planner was giving me. I wasn’t really confortable with the first DJ option and I was geting really stressed out.. That’s when she suggested me DJ James Carr. From the begining I knew he was the right choice! He got in contact with me and asked me about my music preferences, styles and if I had any special resquests. I gave him some suggestion of songs and told him a bit about my style and preferences and how the music was the most important part of the party for me! Not only did he respected my style and songs choices but he added some songs he chose and that he thought it would fit perfectly and it worked wonderfuly!! The party was really, REALLY GOOD! I Everybody danced the night away and the dancefloor was always busy!! I wish I could go back to my party and enjoy it all over again!! Thank you for making my special day even more special!!!!

Claire Jones Birthday Party (Charente-Maritime)

James provided the music this weekend for my ‘significant’ birthday. He brought along a full set up including lights that brought our ‘party barn’ to life. James contacted me quite a while before the event to go through the details and then kept in touch to go through my playlist. He was super friendly and professional and on the day itself kept the crowd amused with cocktail hour music before launching into the party sounds. The dance floor was never empty, in fact he kept it buzzing until the wee small hours. I can very highly recommend James for any event you might be hosting. Top job! I am beyond happy with everything James did to make my night go with a swing. If I could give 6 stars I would!

Acti City Corporate Event (I have kept this testimonial as it was my first ever gig) (Aude)

 James is a promising DJ. He came and found us on his own behalf and did a free gig for the general assemblee of Acti City.

We were able to see a young and passionate DJ who remained thorough behind his decks throughout the night.

His musical choices were perfectly calibrated for the different moments of the party (apéritif, buffet, after).
